The Concept:
Augmenting Future Realities
In this online edition, we utilised a futuristic and stylised design that builds on previous issues for continuity, which also represents the subject of our centre spread story, scholarship recipient Quah Pern Jie who dedicates himself to bringing technology to life and grooming the next generation of software developers.
Thanks to his scholarship, Quah Pern Jie’s education ultimately landed him in a fintech startup, where he was the first chatbot developer.
On the cover, we proudly showcase his creation – a sleek, charming yet friendly and approachable chatbot, GINUS, that comes to life through augmented reality (AR). Incidentally, the chatbot is also symbolic of his efforts to give back to the community through what he does best – programming.
